Call for Artists

Historic Blakeley State Park seeks artists to submit work for a special exhibition to be held at the University of South Alabama Library this fall. The exhibition is part of a grant sponsored by the Alabama State Council of the Arts with the goal of creating informative art classes on botanical art, a website exhibition, and a separate juried exhibition of botanical art using Historic Blakeley State Park’s list of plants of historical value. Plants featured in classes and exhibitions will be a part of a growing florilegium (visual record of living collection of plants) at Historic Blakeley State Park. The artists participating in the live juried venue do not have to attend the classes.

For complete submission guidelines and a plant list, email us at office@blakeleypark.com.
