Boy Scout Orienteering Course

Historic Blakeley State Park Permanent Orienteering Course

This course is an orienteering course through Historic Blakeley State Park. The course has 15 control points with markers throughout the park. You can navigate the course however you like, or you can run the course in alphabetical order using the Greek alphabet.  Plot your course, find the marker, and then on to the next!

Beginners can use the southern half of the course to start their orienteering journey, and more experienced navigators can try to run the entire course. This course is for all orienteering enthusiasts, JROTC units, Scout troops, or anyone who wants to try their hand at navigating through Blakeley State Park.

All you need to participate in this course is a map and a compass.  You can get a map of the course from the front gate or scan the QR code with your phone to get the map of the course on your device. Have fun orienteering!
