This covered pavilion, which features picnic tables, water, power, overhead fans and flood light as well as a charcoal grill, is located a short distance from one of the park’s restroom facilities. It is named for former Alabama Governor Thomas Seay. As a teenager, Seay served at the Battle of Fort Blakeley. Later, while serving as governor, he issued the proclamation which first recognized Arbor Day as a holiday in Alabama.
