Falconry Demonstration and Cruise to Historic Bayou Canot

Date: Saturday, June 16th
Time: 9 AM-12 PM
Price: Cruise is $25 for adults/$15 for kids ages 6-12. Wildlilfe demonstration is complimentary with cruise tickets or regular park admission

We invite you to come to our dock area at 9 AM for a demonstration of falconry with local biologist, educator, and falconer Mark Wetzell. At 10 AM we journey to remote Bayou Canot for an informative glimpse into local history as we enjoy stunning views of the Delta waterways. Located just off the Mobile River north of the city, Bayou Canot was the scene of two of the most dramatic tragedies in regional history: the derailment of Amtrak’s “Sunset Limited” in 1993 and the last documented importation of African slaves into the United States in 1860 aboard the Clotilda.
