Gatra Wehle Center

 








 

The Wehle Center can accommodate groups of up to 100 in the large meeting room, depending on seating configurations. (A limited number of chairs, tables, and linens are made available with rental) The facility features an event hall, restrooms, a serving kitchen, and dressing rooms. Just steps away is a scenic chapel pavilion, ideal for ceremonies and programs with smaller groups.

Mary Grice Pavilion

This multi-purpose covered pavilion is located in “Washington Square” in what was the heart of the historic town of Blakeley. The structure features the steeple from a church built in Baldwin County in 1903 and later moved to this site. Fee includes reservation of adjacent picnic area. Day use only.

Rate: $100; includes admission for up to 20 guests

Reservations require a non-refundable deposit of $25. Portable restrooms in addition to those provided at each site may be rented at cost to park; presently $85 each




“The Old House Site”

Named for the fact that a historic home once stood on the site, this centrally-located area features a covered pavilion, a large open area for gatherings and activities, and a beautiful ancient live oak tree that is a park landmark. Day use only.

Rate: $100; includes admission for up to 20 guests

Reservations require a non-refundable deposit of $25. Portable restrooms in addition to those provided at each site may be rented at cost to park; presently $85 each



Chastang Field

Chastang Field is the largest group rental area in the park. It is named in honor of colonial-era settler Joseph Chastang, who owned the property prior to the founding of the town of Blakeley. Perfect for large group activities and camping, it is located near the site of the historic town and waterfront and has easy access to several trail systems. It may be reserved for day use and camping.

Day use: $100; includes admission for up to 20 guests

Camping: Minimum $100 per night for up to 20 people. Additional campers age 6 and over $5 each per night. (2 night maximum)

Seay Pavilion

This covered pavilion, which features picnic tables, water, power, overhead fans and flood light as well as a charcoal grill, is located a short distance from one of the park’s restroom facilities. It is named for former Alabama Governor Thomas Seay. As a teenager, Seay served at the Battle of Fort Blakeley. Later, while serving as governor, he issued the proclamation which first recognized Arbor Day as a holiday in Alabama.

Rate: $100; includes admission for up to 20 guests
